It’s been a little while since our last update!
In the last two weeks, I helped 6 people in the WordPress.org support forums, I went to a virtual meeting with everyone from CNM’s WPCredits program, and I invited them to the next WP meetup in Albuquerque.
Here are all the support forum posts I helped with:
- https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-org-forum-confirmation-page-is-404/ – Created a bug report on behalf of this user and shared the link with them.
- https://wordpress.org/support/topic/content-governance/ – Shared some plugin suggestions with the user as well as advice on how to search for what they need.
- https://wordpress.org/support/topic/forum-embed-issue/ – A bit of confusion here. I thought they didn’t know how to embed an image, so I showed them how they can do it. Turns out they were trying to make a bug report, so I submitted a bug report on their behalf.
- https://wordpress.org/support/topic/image-overrides-for-cover-media-text/ – This post was very vague, but I tried to help the best I can. I also learned here that the forums are an appropriate place to post feature requests.
I also talked to my mentor and one of the program directors about the giving the final course presentation at the local WordPress meetup, and that seems like it’s a good idea. So, at the meetup next week, I will be discussing the possibility with the leader of that meetup.
If it can’t be done onsite at the normal co-working location in Albuquerque, we could possibly do it at CNM with my student club organization.
Posts should be more regular in the future, now I have something to show for what I’m doing.
